Industry leading physiotherapy facility in Christchurch

The advantage of going to Physio Clinicians is we are one of the few clinics in the South Island with a fully equipped high performance gym.

You don’t need to be an athlete to benefit from the facility, it gives you the option to rehab your injury to a high standard where it’s ready sport like demands.

Our appointments are in private treatment rooms, not behind curtains in a shared space and our private physiotherapy rehabilitation space is fully equipped.

Highest standards of rehabilitation

Frustrated about being injured and not knowing what to do from here?

Starting with a detailed one-hour full clinical assessment, we identify your problem and contributing factors then make a management plan so you can get back to living again.

Physio Clinicians do not share time between two patients at the same time. Each appointment is one on one.

Why appointments are longer at Physio Clinicians

This extra time in the first one-hour appointment (compared to the standard 30-40 minutes at many other Christchurch private practices) allows us to conduct a thorough diagnostic examination, work together on a recovery plan based on your goals, and set up a self-management plan, all in the first visit.

Follow ups are 45 minutes, compared to many other private practices who offer 20-30 minute follow ups. The extra time allows for a more thorough treatment session and ensures that you are on the right track to recovery

Physio Clinicians do not share time between two patients at the same time. Each appointment is one on one and we pride ourselves on high value care.

Frequently asked questions

Do I need to go to a GP for physio?

No, you do not need to go to see a GP before seeing a physio. You are able to make an appointment directly with Physio Clinicians Christchurch. We are also able to lodge ACC claims on your behalf.

Can physiotherapists lodge ACC claims?

Yes physios can lodge ACC claims. At Physio Clinicians Christchurch we are able to lodge claims and treat under ACC.

What should I wear to a physiotherapy appointment?

Wearing clothes that make the injured area accessible will make it easier for the physiotherapist to assess and treat. For example for knee injuries, shorts are ideal and for shoulder injuries, singlets are ideal.

However, the most important thing is that you feel comfortable. Your physio is able to work around any clothes you choose to wear.
